Number 1. Luke Patten
Salford’s first big signing for the 2011 campaign; the “General” has joined the Reds on a 3 year contract.
Formerly with Illawarra, then St. George-Illawarra, he played for the latter in their 1999 grand final defeat against Melbourne Storm. Joined Canterbury Bulldogs in 2001, and played in every match for them in 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2006.
In 2004 he played in the Premiership winning side against the Roosters, at the Telstra Stadium.
In 2005, he was a try scored against Leeds Rhinos in the World Cup Championship game at Elland Road.
He represented NSW county side on three occasions.
He played in every one of Salford’s 29 matches last season.
