Signed by Salford in December 2010 after spending three seasons at Bradford Bulls. He began his career at Castlefield Tigers where he worked his way through the ranks before making his debut for the senior side during the 2001 campaign.

Joined Wigan Warriors in 2005 and made 52 appearances for them prior to signing for Hull FC in 2007.

It was unlucky for him that he broke a bone in his foot after making 19 appearances for the Airlie birds. The following season saw him at Bradford Bulls where he played until being released at the end of the 2010 campaign. On the representative scene, he played for England in 2004 European Nation championships and in one game against Russia he scored a try and kicked 15 goals for a total haul of 34 points.

He has made over 200 appearances in the top flight and will be a welcome addition to the Reds' squad.
